I am merely stuck in a shell,
A cage of my own making.
My prison of bones keeps me here,
Tied against myself.
But alas...
There is no key.

princess.
did you realize
when those grey eyes close
she dreams of hospital beds
lining wall to wall.
she loves it
and she wants it
yet hides it like the dark secret it is.
in whitewash rooms
painful words laying undisturbed
each feeding upon its own misery
nurses trying to clean up the rotting mess.
these are her dreams
that girl you so desperately need
that girl you love
that girl you envy
her nightmares form blackened puddles
screeching at the white walls
but no one can clean
the mess she leaves behind.
when those grey eyes close
she dreams of hospital beds
lining wall to wall.
she loves it
and she wants it
yet hides it like the dark secret it is.
in whitewash rooms
painful words laying undisturbed
each feeding upon its own misery
nurses trying to clean up the rotting mess.
these are her dreams
that girl you so desperately need
that girl you love
that girl you envy
her nightmares form blackened puddles
screeching at the white walls
but no one can clean
the mess she leaves behind.
